  26. Digital Almanac 39.26 requires the unpacked data archive of "DAlmanac_Data.lha" 39.12 !!

  30. This exe-archive contains an extra installer script for installing the data archive.
  31.  
  32. For complete installation, follow these steps:
  33. * Download both archives.
  34. * Unpack the exe archive.
  35. * Start the exe installer.
  36. * Start the data installer.

  39. A French catalog is available, but not a French documentation, because I don't speak
  40. French :-).
  41. The French installer script is only partly in French !

  46. Digital Almanac is one of the best programs for hobby astronomers and professionals
  47. available for the Amiga !
  48.  
  49. It offers:
  50. * Star database with ca. 500,000 stars up to 16m.
  51. * Cross-index for SAO, PPM, HD, YBS und GC catalogs.
  52. * About 40000 deep sky objects (Messier, NGC, IC, UGC, Abell, Zwicky and other misc objects).
  53. * More than 40000 minor planets and asteroids as well as the
  54.   Comets Halley, Hyakutake and Hale-Bopp.
  55. * Highly accurate calculation of Moon and planets with JPL's integration tables (DE404).
  56.   Accuracy partly <0.1'' over a period of some thousand years !!
  57. * Moons of Jupiter and Saturn.
  58. * Textures for planets Venus to Pluto, Moon and Galilean Moons.
  59. * Milky way structure.
  60. * View the sky from any solar system object.
  61. * Animation mode (also saving in IFF-ANIM format !!).
  62. * Loading and saving of configuration files.
  63. * Highly optimized algorithms for maximum speed, mostly written in assembler.
  64. * Lots of configuration possibilities.
  65. * Online and menu help with HELP-key and MUI's bubblehelp.
  66. * Full Drag&Drop support.
  67. * Creation and export of ephemeris tables.
  68. * CyberGraphX High- and Truecolor mode support.

  79. Following features are restricted for non registered users:

  81. * Deep-sky catalog access limited to the Messier catalog.
  82. * All saving functions are disabled.
  83. * No hardcopy.
  84. * No changing site to a different planet, only Earth enabled.
  85. * No detailed course of eclipses.
  86. * No picture galery.
  87. * Plotting stars only to 6m.
  88. * Plotting other objects only to 10m.
  89. * No changing of pixelsize.
  90. * No events in the calendar.
  91. * Ephemeris export only to a window.
  92. * The program will terminate after 20 min and all 5 min a requester will appear.

  101. * Added "trigonometric parallax" information for most bright stars to data archive.
  102. * Reduced memory usage when saving map as RGFX and JPEG.

  123. * This forced a structure change in project file.
  124.   They are no more 100% compatible to previous versions, but they depend less on current
  125.   installed datas !
  126. * User files are moved to their own directory called 'User'.
  127.   This simplyfies an update.
  128. * New font Astro_Fix/11.
  129. * Ephemeris output uses larger font Astro/11 to improve readability at higher resolutions.
  130. * Map automatically uses larger font at resolutions higher than 800*600.
  131. * Export mode didn't recognize magnitude extinction.
  132. * New aspect ratio calculation.
  133.   Display was distorted when using some CyberGfx resolutions.
  134. * Speed improvements in MUI's display hooks.
  135. * Program doesn't need an 'assign' in the User-Startup anymore, because the program makes
  136.   the assign by itself and deletes it when exiting.
